The past two weeks have been a solid blur. If you were to ask me to recap and give a summary, I'm almost positive I couldn't do it. The reality is, I overload myself to the point that I can't even function. It's been a mass of making decisions, taking charge, and growing up. I honestly hasn't been as fun as I thought it was.
I have been faced with a few situations in the past two weeks where I have had to make decisions on a whim. One of those is to do with IFC rush. For those who aren't savvy with the greek system, it's a long complex hierarchy that deals with very emotionally charged young people. Anyways, I felt that I was more obligated to Kappa Sig because of J.T. and this whole "lavaliere" thing. Therefore, I took SAE some food for rush and wrote them a letter. Apparently, doing the right thing isn't accepted around here. Not only are some of my sisters looking down on me, but they all hate me too. Cool...
I needed a day out of this huge black hole of high school-esque drama. So, I decided to trail down 65-South and stay the night at my parents house. Call it fleeing from the beast, but I just can't handle it. I can't handle the stress of everyone always expecting absolute gold from me. It's whatever, honestly. I guess the saying stands true, "If someone ain't hatin' ya, you ain't doin' it right." -Jon Thomas Adams

My Dear sweet Jordan,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all take a deep breath and look at what you have accomplished in the past year. You are beautiful, successful, loved by so many, and you have the characteristics it takes to be a strong woman. You did an amazing job with Recruitment for ADPi and that is a very stressful time in all of our lives especially for those who go the extra mile. It's over now...in the past and we have so many great outcomes from it! As far as IFC rush I think you made the right decision...it is the responsibility of the brothers of SAE to recruit good men NOT YOURS and if there are sisters complaining just ignore them it's not worth it. Just know that I am here for you always when you want to laugh, cry, yell, eat double cheese ANYTHING! College is stressful and sorority life is stressful you just have to find a balance and find things that relax you. Get some rest and relaxation over the next couple of days and just know a double cheese WILL be waiting on your bed when you return. "We live for each other" remember that :)! Pi love!-Kaitlin
Kaitlin, thank you so much for that. It really means a lot to me that you would take the time to tell me this. It really exemplifies the ideals of a true sisterhood. I appreciate all of the time that you have put in during your last semester. I am more than proud to call you my sister. Thank you for being so amazing. Pi love to you too!
