This past weekend, we had the privilege of seeing Bruno Mars. He's a great musician. Not only can he sing like a god, but he played every instrument on stage before he ever stepped up to the microphone. That, my friends, is what constitutes a great musician. However, the real reason I felt the need to blog about this is the person that opened for him. If you watched the grammys, you'll know exactly who I'm talking about. The little bombshell that completely rocked the stage.
Janelle Monae!
Although she puts on a rather strange show live, she has an excellent voice. She does some rather unorthodox things throughout her show. She first came out and sang half of the first song in a hooded robe. Janelle also sang a song while painting a canvas. Like I said, rather strange. But anyways, if you're looking for some tunes from both of these artists, my favorites from them include "The Other Side" for Bruno Mars and "Cold War" for Janelle Monae. Such good artists.
